Career shifting success stories are hard to come by this past few years as the job market has become challenging for everyone. So this story can hopefully bring back the spark to aspiring career shifters that may have been missing recently. Even in the down times, it's still possible. So as long as you really want it, keep on fighting for it.

- DICT Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda
I couldn't agree more with the good secretary.
DICT's plan to achieve the ambitious 8 million digital jobs by 2028 is to improve connectivity in the country. That's well and good, but I hope it'll also be accompanied by efforts from other government bodies, mainly in packaging the country globally as a hotbed of digital and tech talent, and to remove any restrictions we may have in allowing foreign employers to invest in our digital workforce.

I had the privilege of giving a talk during AWS User Group Philippines Leadership Workshop last Saturday, where I also urged young community leaders to get started with public speaking. One of them asked how they should deal with people who'd question their credentials, especially considering how young they are, and I answered that you don't need credentials if what you're speaking about is truthful and factual. You don't have to be the expert in the topic you choose; you only have to be an expert of your talk. This was the same principle I adhered to when I felt impostor syndrome kick in for my TEDx talk last year: I'm not an expert in AI (yet), but that doesn't mean I couldn't warn people about its bad side.
Like the article's author, I've also been treating my talks similar to how artists view their concerts: each talk is a performance. I think this approach can also do wonders for you.
This is HUH-MAZING! But it does add the risk of CSS developers over-engineering things, especially since the `if` function only works on a per-property basis, with no way of implementing it on a group of properties yet. Still, CSS seems to be slowly becoming a programming language for browser styling. I can't complain about that, as it'll save me a few more React component props! π
